Skydive Chatteris Club Ltd is a non-profit making club run by its members for its members. As a company limited by guarantee, without any shareholders, all surplus funds are used solely for the purpose of developing and improving the skydiving activities of its members at Chatteris Airfield.
Any person wishing to make a parachute jump from an aircraft of which the club is the operator must first become a member.
Membership is free to anyone wishing to actively participate in sport parachuting, from complete beginner to experienced skydiver, (subject to normal British Parachute Association and Civil Aviation Authority safety requirements) with all the affairs of the club being conducted in accordance with its Articles of Association.
There are two levels of membership. Full membership and Restricted membership. Full membership is available to anyone who has made 20 or more jumps in the previous year from aircraft of which the club is the operator, and Restricted membership is available to anyone who has made 19 jumps or less in the previous year from aircraft of which the club is the operator.
Each member has the opportunity to control how the club is run by voting at General Meetings as well as making constructive suggestions to the elected management committee. Those that have been Full members for two or more consecutive years, at the date of the Annual General Meeting at which they are elected, can also stand for office.
The next AGM (Annual General Meeting) will take place at Chatteris Airfield, Block Fen Drove, Wimblington, March, Cambridgshire PE15 0FB on Saturday 16th December 2017 at 5.30pm. Any qualifying member wishing to stand for office should let the club chairman know in writing no later than Friday 27th October 2017. Similarly, any member wishing to add a main item to the meeting agenda should let the Club chairman know in writing no later than Friday 27th October 2017.
